Download Driver For Xbon One Controller Install Update
I run Windows 10 x64 bit Pro version. The computer can't find a driver and lists the adapter as "Unknown device" in device manager and has a yellow exclamation mark right next to its name "XBOX ACC".
I already talked to my local electronics shop pretty huge store "Saturn" which is a major electronics brand in Europe. The clerk there told me that only within the last 2 hours two other customers came in and returned their wireless dongle because of the exact same issue I'm describing!
We really need a manually installable driver. I understand that you are unable to install Xbox One Controller wireless adapter on Windows 10 due to driver issue. Windows 10 continues the tradition of hardware compatibility by providing support for a vast collection of devices available within the Windows ecosystem. Driver software which makes this happen, allows your hardware to function by communicating with the operating system. As a workaround, I suggest you to follow the suggestions by Andre Da Costa in below article and check if it resolves the issue.

That's just basic Windows driver tips I already described in my first post that I did all of that. I will describe it again not the order in which I did those things:.
Switched the receiver to 7 different USB ports both 2. And don't even get me started on those s of restarts I had to make! Here is just a small selection of links with people that have my exact same issue:.
I had the same issue as well with it. Did you plug the adapter in before you started up your PC? That is what I did. I called tech support and spent about an hour on the phone for nothing they could not help me. Windows 10 is very finicky with drivers. Hopefully they fix issues with this in the future.
I tried everything I could. You however get an incomplete installation. The second problem is once the partial install goes through you have to delete any instance of the install good luck finding the registry key assigned to the install.
The last option, is what I did, which is to do a windows reset not a full wipe. Even though that sounds like the worst option it might be the fastest way to accomplish it without the drivers. For the reset it will wipe anything installed not downloaded all files you created will still be there.
You just have to re-install programs that you have installed. Once I did this it finally worked. However, I now have another problem all apps and the app store do not work. I just bought one and couldn't get it to work as well. You saved me a lot of frustration. Windows 10 isn't able to find the drivers.
The drivers should be found by Windows automatically since it's all about plug 'n play in this case. Please fix the drivers and please make them clearly available from the support site for the controller and the adapter for it itself. Thanks for the post. I doesnt work for me and gives me an error code.

In reply to knerlington's post on June 18, Edge won't open the catalog, IE wants to install something it needs to open the site but the installation fails every time How hard can it be to get a simple controller which you manufacture to work on your OS? Sometimes I really don't get Microsoft.

Windows 10 can't find driver for Xbox One COntroller wireless adapter
Four months after the launch of the console, Microsoft still hasn't released a PC driver for the Xbox One controller. Someone else has finally done it for them. The video is 11 minutes long, so it's not exactly a plug and play solution, but if you really like the Xbox One controller this will get it talking to your PC. Assis' solution uses a combination of a generic USB driver, controller emulating software vJoy, libusb which allows applications to access USB devices , and his own application, which supports up to 16! All of these are included in the download. Assis does a good job of walking you through these steps in the video. They're are little involved, but nothing you need a computer science degree for.
