Intel Pro 1000 Gt Desktop Adapter Driver Xp Download Install Update
Did this solve your problem? Sorry this didn't help. If the network card connects to the router, it is working. Reboot the router, and then reboot the computer. Old thread, but I was looking into compatibility for this same card and came across this unresolved post.
For anyone else out there having a similar problem, perhaps going into the BIOS and disabling the onboard network adapter would fix the problem. Tell us about your experience with our site. I am almost at the end of my tether as far as Windows 7 is concerned, this forum is my last ditch hope before I chuck the windows 7 disc out of the window and buy a mac!
I have upgraded my Alienware desktop from Vista Ultimate to Windows 7 Ultimate and found out that the ageing onboard network adapter didn't work. I have spent over 3 hours trying to get this working and cannot and I hope someone out there may have the million dollar solution!?
The apadter is seen by Windows 7 and it installs a driver dated , however I get the message 'no internet connection' and IPv4 and IPv6 say no internet connection.
I attempted to download the driver update from Intel prowin Hopefully you can see why I am at the moment seeing red as far as windows 7 is concerned! All these wonderful adverts on TV saying how easy windows 7 is to use and I can't even get on the internet! This thread is locked. You can follow the question or vote as helpful, but you cannot reply to this thread. I have the same question 7. What's the make and model of the computer?
Are you updating drivers from Windows update? Visit the manufacturer's website alienware and install the latest network adapter drivers. If they do not have windows 7 drivers, install vista drivers in vista compatibility mode. Thanks for marking this as the answer. How satisfied are you with this reply? Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site. How satisfied are you with this response? In reply to iOZilla's post on March 16, Hi iRip, thanks for the reply.
Its an Alienware Aurora. I've checked out the Windows 7 compatability site and apparently this card is fully compatible with Windows 7. Furthermore I apparently don;t need to download drivers as windows 7 has them when I installed the card and windows saw it the system installed drivers and the card was seen and configured. I've also visited the Alienware website and they refer to the manufacturer for drivers.
I have rebooted the box manually so as to only boot up with bare drivers, etc however I still cannot run this package - Oh and the box has 8Gb of memory! What else have I tried Oh yes I have also tried the Vista drivers incase the windows 7 drivers were the problem, but alas this still didn't help and I still have no internet access.
One other thing to point out is that I can get access to my router so there is network access, just nothing outside my home network! In reply to Mike Hall Hi Mike, well this is what I thought! If the network card can see and log into the router then whats the problem!?!?
However thats exactly my problem, I can't get to anything other than my router or the other PC's on my home network I've rebooted everything and still no joy.
I've been looking on forums, etc and seen a few things to try, such as netsh commands and msconfig things too, but still nothing to get me out there!!! Pings don;t work either! I can't believe theres no other else who has a way to sort this? I can see the router, but no internet access?
I have the same type problems. However I can not ever get to my router. I know this did not help to solve the problem but it sure feels nice to be able to cry about it to some one.

Windows detect card and put own driwer. All working, but not Vlans. My mistake but I looking only into realease notes Here is other info Looking that GT is supported But is there info will support GT in next realese or not? If not to change NIC There no such difference between OS. When a team is created using an adapter with full ANS support, you may be able to add the adapter with in box only support to the team. This has been extremely disappointing to me, and I had to go back to Vista. See my post below for a solution.
