From a cold boot the blue Windows logo appears and then the mouse cursor in the middle of the screen, but the start screen with the tiles is not displayed. Maybe this sounds weird, but I think the start screen and tiles is there, but just not being shown on the screen.
There appears to be nothing there, but I can move the cursor around on the black screen and click in frustration. Then I press the power button and the laptop enters sleep mode.
Once in sleep mode I press power again to resume the computer and then the lock screen shows up and I can see the start screen and tiles and everything works like it should.
This only happens from a cold boot. If the computer was on and restarted it does not happen. Has this happened to anyone else? I will check for a newer display driver from ATI.
