My laptop is Asus XLD and i upgraded it to windows 10, 3 weeks ago. But after the windows 10 first automatic update was done. The Wifi is adapter is not working. I have the same problems, Windows 10 updated and we lost the wifi. Have tried the above and still no fix. How do I fix this? Not good to hear it is still occurring with the updates. I was wondering if I should try reinstalling since it has been a couple of months since I first had the problem and uninstalled windows I guess I will wait till my semester is over.

When I left my computer on the auto update happened again and I again had to restore. I followed all the steps and it still isn't working. My anti-virus software was causing the problem with the firewall. I uninstalled the anti-virus software. I suppose with some anti-virus programs, you might be able to disable the firewalls there. I would suggest you to use the same driver in compatibility mode for old version of Windows. Make older programs compatible with this version of Windows information holds good for Windows 10 as well. I have exactly the same adapter, the driver windows 10 is using on mine has a date of , the driver is working perfectly and fast. I had a lot of problems blue screens, etc. All was working fine on win 7 but win 10 was hell. Even did a clean install of win 10 but no cure. Tried driver booster, tried everyting I know of and picked up on the various forums. Took me a long time to trace the lock ups back to the wifi driver.
