Hmm, I've heard both good and bad things about ControlPoint. I know I probably won't get all of the E-series features but I might try it out as QuickSet is looking pretty dated, pretty quicklyIt's a shame that Dell doesn't update things like that across notebook lines. For example, the Alps touchpad drivers for the E-Series has some pretty cool "gesture" features, I tried installing it on a whim and it worked just fine. I'm in the same boat with a Vostro, so thanks for pointing out that whether you go 32 or 64, with the current choices available, it won't work.
Is ControlPoint a competing product to QuickSet offered on different lines? Some of the features seem to overlap based on the little description I've read of them. Is one on the way out? Can you do a selective install of ControlPoint as I think you can QuickSet, if it ever got that far , or is it all or nothing? Dell really needs to get on the stick with the Vostro line. Just because they don't sell it with bit quite yet is not an excuse.
